Learn Skill Games Program - 7 Game Types
One benefit to learn skill games is that they are a method of exploring one's own competence. These games encourage players to analyze and develop strategies.
Most games also involve a degree of luck/chance and some require additional equipment to play: dice, a game board or playing cards.
Skill, strategy, and chance are in play for these 7 types.
Card Games use a deck of cards as their central tool. Examples are Rummy, Canasta and Solitaire.

Board Games use a central tool to track a player’s status and progress.
All board games maintain turn-based play in that one player’s move or strategy is followed by their opponents’ move or strategy.
Players can only move at their turn.
Examples of board games requiring skill and strategy are chess, checkers and backgammon.
Cards are an additional tool used to play cribbage wherein a board is utilized to keep score.

Dice Games use a number of dice as their central tool. Board games often use dice to determine a player’s standing in the game; however, dice alone generally don’t determine the outcome of the game in relation to other factors like strategy or skill.
Examples of dice games are Sic Bo, Yahtzee and Poker Dice.

Tile Games
utilize a central tool of a set of tiles called dominoes that have two ends, each with a given number of dots, or pips.
Therefore, each combination has 2 possible values and each domino is unique in the set.
Most domino/tile games are ‘card games without the cards’.
Examples of these types of games are dominoes and mahjong.
Word Games: Popular examples are Scrabble and Hangman.
Puzzle Games: Popular examples are Sudoku and Crossword Puzzles
Sports Games: Examples are Billiards and Darts.

Learn Skill Games: Tournaments
There are many types of tournaments to play online. This is a brief explanation.
Arcade tournaments are played against other players and the highest score wins the prize pot.
Two types available are Instant Prize or Jackpot.
Instant Prizes are awarded for the top score in a competition involving up to 10 players.
Jackpot Tournaments end at a pre-set finish time. The jackpot increases for each player entry, therefore, the more players, the larger the Jackpot.
After the closing time, the winner is notified and payouts are deposited to their account.
Tournament Strategies:
1) Try several tournament games, as you will find your skill level is better for specific games. Rummy may be your best game rather than mahjong.
2) If you are not a morning person, try playing late at night. Mix up your playing times and in turn, you will play against a mix of opponents.
3) Play tournaments with fewer opponents.
As with any skill game, the results of tournaments are based mainly on skill, not luck.
When playing skill games online and due to proprietary algorithms, the element of luck has been significantly reduced.
Additionally, players are matched based on their skill levels that ensures ‘a level playing field’ for online skill games.
