Bonus Deluxe or More
for 4 VP
by
Gayle
Mitchell
Bonus Deluxe Video Poker is also known as More for 4.
This version reveals one of the most simplistic paytables
of all VP games in that any quad (four-of-a-kind) pays 400
coins.
Be it aces or lowly fives and sixes, you are in for a
400-coin pay.
The pay schedule below shows an 8/5
version, however
you may
find an even more profitable paytable of 8/6 giving 6 coins for a 1
coin bet or
30 coins at maximum play for the flush hand.
8/5 refers to an 8
coin return for a full-house when betting one-coin and 5
coin return for a
flush.
Of course, video poker players know there is only
one way to
play any version and that’s maximum coin at all time.
Also
note that as with most bonus video poker versions, two
pair pays 5 coins, same as one pair.
The paytable
below illustrates the payout for
specific winning hands, one coin return payout and maximum coin return
payout.

The
average return for 8/6 Bonus Deluxe is 98.5%
This percentage is
maintained with
maximum coins per hand at
a ‘full-pay’ machine with optimum strategy.
Strategy:
- It is
simple: be on the
alert for developing quads with this VP version.
- Although,
not conventional strategy, with a full-house pay of 40 coins, it can be
argued to take the risk of holding a paying pair of Jacks or better of
the two pair dealt. The worst scenario at that point would be a bet
return.
- However, two non-paying
pairs (both less than Jacks+) must be held for the certain payout and
possible full-house.
May all your VP
choices turn out to be ‘Royalty’.
